Benedictine women’s basketball hosted Edgewood College on Wednesday, February 15th. Benedictine would hold a very strong team offensively to only 42 points and won with a final score of 49-42.

Junior, Jordan Carlquist, would lead the Eagles on both sides of the ball with 14 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 steals. Defense was the big difference in the game as they held a team that averaged over 60 points a game to just 42 points. The Eagles pulled out a big win before Senior Day’s matchup against Aurora.

The Eagles went into the matchup at 9-8 in conference play with Aurora being 14-3 in conference play.

Aurora never really gave up the lead to the Eagles, but either way, it was a great moment to honor the two seniors, Brianna Lake and Sara Smith, on their time at Benedictine. Brianna Lake would lead the Eagles in points in the final game of the season.
