Dear Ernie: Thanksgiving

Dear Ernie,

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, I was wondering, what are you thankful for?

Sincerely,

The Thankful Student

Dear Thankful Student,

First off, I am thankful that nobody decided it would be a good idea to eat Eagles for Thanksgiving!

In all seriousness, I am thankful for my family, who has shaped me to be who I am today. I am also very thankful for Ernesta, and for each and every one of you who are a part of my eagle flock. We have created such an amazing sense of community here at Benedictine University, and we always look out for one another.

I would also like to recognize all of the staff that have worked countless hours to make this school as great as it is today. Be sure to show your appreciation for your professors, advisors, food service workers, and coaches this holiday season.

If you would like to give back to the Benedictine community, don’t forget to bring some canned goods over to the campus food pantry! Located in Kindlon 410, the Ben U Food Pantry was founded to serve our students in need. There is no sign-in required and you can take what you need!

Happy Holidays from my nest to yours, and keep on soaring,

Ernie
