Chicago – For the first time in twelve years the White Sox are heading to the post season as they are the first team in the American League to clinch a post season bid. They are in a battle with the Tampa Bay Rays for the number one seed.

What has driven them to this success has been great pitching from Dallas Keuchel, Lucas Giolito, and rookie Dane Dunning. Their bullpen has been stellar too with Alex Colomé leading the Sox with 12 saves.

Hitting has been a great strength. Tim Anderson is currently leading the AL again in batting average. Anderson won the batting title last year. Jose Abreu is leading the league in RBI and hits. Abreu, an MVP candidate, is also second in home runs.

Rookies have been a huge part of this Sox roster. They have seen major contributions from a handful of them. Luis Robert, Nick Madrigal, Cody Heuer, Dane Dunning and Garrett Crochet. Robert has been a star at the plate with 11 homers. Crochet has a rocket of an arm, throwing over 100 mph from the left-hand side.

From the way that the post season is shaping up, the White Sox will likely play the Cleveland Indians or the Toronto Blue Jays in the first round.
