If you’re a resident at Benedictine, you might find yourself at a loss on the weekends. Whether you finish your homework before the weekend begins, or are looking for an excuse to procrastinate, you will find yourself wanting a change in scenery.

Downtown Naperville is just down the street and has plenty of shopping opportunities. Naperville offers an array of shops, including but not limited to; a two-story Barnes and Noble, Anthropologie and Francesca’s for your clothing fix, MAC Cosmetics, Sephora, and Ulta.

Another popular option is Pixel Blast Arcade. Only a 10-minute drive from campus, the old school arcade has over one hundred games advertised on their website. It costs fifteen dollars at the door and then all the games are free to play. The games listed include Air Hockey, Donkey Kong, Pinball, Mario Bros., Pac-Man, and tons more. Pixel Blast is opened from 1p.m-10p.m Tuesday through Thursday, and weekends they stay open until midnight. Sunday, they close at 8p.m.

Being in college, you might be looking for something to do that doesn’t cost money. Downtown Naperville, other than their shopping options, they have a gorgeous Riverwalk. The Riverwalk runs alongside the DuPage River.

Benedictine also often hosts free events as long as you show a student I.D, such as mini golfing and movies.
