Benedictine’s football team adds another game to their list of wins last Saturday. Benedictine’s football team completely out scored Concordia University Chicago by 41-0 on last Saturday afternoon’s conference. With this win, it makes it the third win in a row in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) for Benedictine’s football team.
“It was a very chippy game. I knew it was going to be a physical game because they are having a poor year. Glad to see the team perform how we did” , said Senior Kevin Kreighbaum.
Benedictine advanced in the lead with 21-0 in the first quarter. The points were made by Freshman Joshua Williams, Junior Jake Valas with a pass from Sophomore Ryan Sample, and Sophomore Derek Miles.
Seven more points were added in the second quarter by Valas with a pass from Sample. Another seven more points were added to Benedictine in the third quarter by Junior Luke Ludolph. The last seven points that sealed the win in the final quarter was made by Miles with a pass from Sample.
“It was a good workmanlike effort where our offense, defense and special teams all played well. Our goal was to be efficient and execute and we did that. We also had some outstanding individual performances”, said head coach Jon Cooper.
The next conference will be against Rockford University on Halloween, October 31, at 1 p.m.
