There seems to be many people who are becoming famous because of the things that they post on YouTube. The number of fans that they have reaches into the high millions and they follow them on Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and other social media sites. However, some of these Internet stars are becoming more famous because they are coming out with books that they want to share with the world. This kind of opportunity is another way for them to get further in life than they could have ever imagined. If they think that posting videos on YouTube was enough, they might become more famous because of the fact that these soon to be published books will be flying off the shelves at many book stores.

A Work in Progress: A Memoir by Connor Franta

In this book, Connor Franta shares the moments of his life that he doesn’t necessarily share when he’s in front of a video camera. The book seems to have everything from telling stories of his childhood growing up in Minnesota to dealing with struggles of the typical teenage life to choosing to become a YouTuber. It also includes full color pictures of Connor when he was a kid as well as pictures that he has taken with a camera. His words of wisdom will resonate any coming-of-age teenager who feels like they need a picker-upper whenever they are feeling down. It is recommended for anyone who is looking for a book that talk about a famous person’s own point of view on the struggles of life.

I Hate Myselfie: A Collection of Essays by Shane Dawson

The famous YouTuber whose videos have drawn nearly 12 million subscribers has decided to get personal with his fans. Shane decides to write some essays about his life growing up, the struggles of fitting in and surviving life, and his rise to fame. Some people may know him from all of the spoofs he’s made while others may notice the new full-length film Not Cool that he has directed. It truly shows people that life can get rough at times, but no matter what happens, there’s always a way for it to get better. Shane’s essays seem to include different life experiences that others may have experienced or will experience at one point in their life. It is a book that truly reminds others that the things that happen to us truly do shape who we are as an individual.
