Guide to Style: Spring Ball Edition

As we all may know, Benedictine University’s Programming Board’s Spring Ball dance is only nine days away, which means total and utter chaos for ladies who still need to buy a dress. I know the first things that came to my mind as I searched for a dress was where can I find a cute dress for an affordable price and what kind of dress should I purchase? Since it took me some time to find that affordable, stylish dress, I decided to help out all the ladies this year and provide a guide. The first place I recommend is Windsor, which has locations at the Aurora, Lombard, Joliet, Chicago Ridge, Rockford, Norridge, Schaumburg, Gurnee, Fairview Heights, Vernon Hills, Orland Park and North Riverside. All of the following dresses shown are under $40, which is an amazing price.

The second place I would recommend is Akira, which is a bit pricier than Windsor, but offers a lot of fashionable dresses. Akira has locations in Aurora, Chicago, Orland Park, Woodfield, Lincoln Park, and more. The following dresses are all under $50.

Other stores I recommend are Jcpenny, Forever 21, Sears, TJ Maxx, Charlotte Russe and sometimes Dry Goods has good sales. Last piece of advise I will leave you with: wear a dress you feel comfortable in! Whether its loose, tight, long or short what matters at the end of the day is how you feel. Now, when it comes to accessories, remember: the best accesory is confidence.
