The Never Ending Lie

It all started on June 8, 2010. Teenage girls all over the world were so excited for their favorite book series to come to life on their television screens. Who would have guessed that 5 years later the TV show, “Pretty Little Liars” would still be on? It is easy to say that the show has dragged on for just a little bit too long.

I have been watching it from the very beginning and honestly, I am just ready for the show to end. If you do not know what PLL is or have never heard of it, I am jealous of you in some ways because you don’t have to watch it every Tuesday wondering “When will it be over?”

Notice how I say, “have to watch,” because us Pretty Little Liars fans really don’t have a choice. The writers and creators have sucked us in for 5 years already with their one too many plot twists, countless new characters, “deaths” and the biggest suspense of them all, trying to figure out who the heck “Big A” is. If you watch the show, you know exactly what I am talking about.

Now don’t get me wrong, I am a true PLL fan, especially when it comes to “Haleb” aka Hanna and Caleb. They might as well make a spin off show just all about their relationship. But seriously, I cannot keep up with the show anymore. It has gotten so weird as the seasons have gone on. There have been so many different characters come and go I can’t keep count of who is dead and who is alive, who is dating who, who killed who, or even who is part of what family.

What I am trying to say is, the series has had a great run, so why ruin it by dragging it out? We are so close to finding out who the mysterious person “Big A” is and I think that is perfect way to end the show. No more unnecessary plot twists, please.

In recent news, the drama has been renewed for more seasons, so my hopes for the show ending right after we find out who the “Big A” is, sadly will not happen.

As much as I complain about the show never ending, I know when I have to face the day that the series ends I will feel like a piece of me is missing, Pretty Little Liars has become a topic for discussion between my friends and I, and I know we will miss it…if it ever ends.
