BenU Police was made aware that a student was observed on a social media site, holding what appeared to be a handgun. An investigation was then launched to find out more information about the student and the situation. The student was identified as a Nuezil resident. Police searched the student’s room and removed what was an airsoft gun with the orange top broken off. The airsoft gun did not belong to that student, but the owner was found and cited that same day for violation of student code of conduct for owning an airsoft gun.
