The second period became another advantage for Benedictine. Kapetanos made the first goal of the second period. The Benedictine Eagles made an additional two goals before Lakeland made one goal. Benedictine made three more goals before the second period ended. Benedictine University won with a final score of 9-3.
Next game for men’s soccer will be on October 23 against Lake Forest College. This will be the last home game of the season.

“As I have said all year, we know that we have two strikers who can really play at a high level. Getting seven goals from them today was pretty special and for Nick Kapetanos to get five, what a freshman campaign it has been for him. We will have a chance to regroup this week and get some guys back. It’s time to start hitting our stride on all parts of the field as it becomes do or die time,” said head coach Rich Nassif.
