Spring has sprung at Benedictine University, and since the Farmer’s Market was such a success last semester, it was a must that the Farmer’s Market return again this semester! Students celebrated the spring weather by attending the Farmer’s Market. The campus community enjoyed the wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, including cucumbers, strawberries, celery, beets and watermelons.
The Farmer’s Market is a great way for students to access healthy food on campus. Our generation is very focused on staying fit and healthy. The Farmer’s Market is a popular event to host on campus that attracts almost everyone.
“I really enjoyed the Farmer’s Market. I think it’s a great opportunity for students get fresh produce, especially for those kids on campus who do not have cars on campus. I hope that the school can continue to host this wonderful event!” said junior nutrition major Gina Doughney.
