This week in Benedictine sports

Due to the severe amount of snowfall, the women’s lacrosse game that was scheduled to play on Sunday against DePauw University has been postponed to a later day in the season.

This would have been the opening game for the second season of women’s lacrosse at Benedictine University.  There has not been a new date set for the rescheduled game, but both teams will play against each other in the near future.

Fortunately, the women’s tennis team was able to open their spring season last Saturday against Quincy University.  The two teams faced off in the Aurora Vaughn Athletic Center.  The Eagles fell to Quincy, 9-0.

The women’s tennis team will have a bit of a break now until the end of April when the NACC Championships will begin on Tuesday, April 29th.  They are the fifth seeded team in their Conference and will face the fourth seeded team in the first round of the competition.  The team will be the Benedictine rival, Aurora University.
