Men’s Soccer Looks For Tournament Bid

In their second season under Coach Rich Nassif, the Benedictine University men’s soccer team looks to improve from a seventh place finish in the conference standings and missing out on the NACC tournament by one spot.

They look to improve on their four wins from last year, all of which came against conference opponents. They will play 10 of their 18 games at home, and Nassif hopes to use the home field advantage more this year as the team won only one game at home last season. They hope to make Lisle a tough place for opponents to come and play in.

The schedule does boast some challenges as the Eagles face three opponents ranked in the top 20 in the nation including two teams in the top 10. The men’s soccer team will open up the season at home against Eureka College on Saturday, August 31th at 2:00 p.m.
