Lacrosse wins First Game in History

The Benedictine University women’s Lacrosse team made history Tuesday night as they won the first game in program history, beating University of Dubuque 19-4 at the Sports Complex.

After Dubuque scored the initial goal, BenU went on a 10-0 run and took a 15-2 lead in the first half then outscored Dubuque 4-2 in the second half.

Hannah Payne led the way for the Eagles with a terrific all-around game, finishing with six goals and two assists. Annette Dzieski chipped in five goals of her own while, McKall Puglies seeded three goals.

With the win, the Eagles are now 1-1 in the season and will play Monday as they travel to Berry College in Georgia.
