The holiday season is here and winter break is just around the corner. That means it’s time for fun, easy and delicious recipes that are so quick to make, people will be asking how you made them! Instead of spending a lot of money on drinks and sweets from Starbucks, you can make these equally delicious and savory treats that will save you time and money. You can make these treats for yourself, your family, or a friend! These two recipes go very well together and you can make them just in time for Santa when he comes to town!

The first recipe is a Christmas-y twist to the classic cup of coffee: White Chocolate Peppermint Mocha.

You will need:

•     One  hot cup of the coffee of your choice

•     Two baby candy canes

•     Two white chocolate truffles

•     Whipped cream (Optional)

•     Cinnamon (Optional)

First, prepare a cup of coffee to your liking. This can be normal, decaf, French vanilla, hazelnut, etc! While it’s still steaming low, crush two baby candy canes or one large candy cane and add it to your mug. Mix the coffee to dissolve the pieces of peppermint. Next, add two white chocolate truffles, you can use Lindt truffles or even just regular white chocolate. Finally, you can add whipped cream and cinnamon to your liking. Now enjoy your warm delicious drink while you watch a nice holiday movie with your family!

With your delicious drink, you’re going to want something sweet to snack on as well. You can make these perfect treats for anyone who loves chocolate. If you place them into a tin container, it makes the perfect homemade gift! Here’s the perfect treat for oreo and chocolate lovers: Milk Chocolate Oreo Truffles

You will need:

•     One package of regular oreo cookies

•     One 8 oz. package of regular cream cheese

•     Two 11.5 oz. bags of milk chocolate chips

•     Nuts of your choice (Optional)

•     Sprinkles or other topping (Optional)

First, take all but 2 oreo cookies and crush them until they look like bland sand. You can use a food processor or put them in a bag and mash them. Next, add the 8 oz. package of cream cheese and mix it with the oreos until you form clay-like consistency. Make small round balls and place on a cookie sheet. Freeze the oreo balls for 30 minutes to an hour. Melt the milk chocolate chips. Using two spoons, dip each oreo ball into the chocolate and use the spoons to remove excess chocolate. Place back onto the cookie sheet. Crush the 2 oreos that you saved at the beginning and use them as topping for your oreo truffles while the chocolate is still melted. You can add nuts of your choice or colored sprinkles as well to add extra decorations. Finally, refrigerate the oreo truffles for one hour until they are fully hardened. You won’t be able to resist eating these delectable treats! Happy Holidays!
