Volunteers and Staff Rebuild
: A Look at Recovery Efforts for BenU’s Museum

By Samantha Jones, Reporter

The Jurica-Suchy Nature Museum is still recovering from water damage after 6,400 gallons of water flooded Birck Hall at the end of October. Approximately 350 specimens were affected, and the museum staff is working with a conservator to get a final analysis of all the damages. Recovery efforts are in full swing thanks to the museum curator, student workers and volunteers.

Campus Police say they have investigated many promising leads, but there remains no suspect in the flooding. Police are offering a $2,000 reward to anyone with information leading to the person responsible.
