Eagles Clinch N.A.C. Title

The Benedictine University Eagles swept Lakeland College in a doubleheader on Sunday, earning their third straight Northern Athletics Conference regular season championship.

The Eagles took game one 4-0 as Kelly Mieszala and Nikki Powers each had two hits and an RBI. Brittney Adcox pitched a complete game shutout allowing just six hits and striking out 10.

Game two all Eagles again this time picking up a 10-2 victory. Adcox got the win again this time going five innings allowing two runs on seven hits.

At the plate the Eagles were again led by Mieszala who had three hits including two doubles and two R.B.I.s.

With the sweep the Eagles concluded their regular season with an overall record of 30-9 including a 22-2 record in conference play.

The Eagles will begin post-season play on Friday May 4th when they will face the winner of the Lakeland-Marian first round game.
