On February 21 at 6:50 a.m., University Police were informed by dining services that there had been numerous thefts at the Kindlon Café resulting in the disappearance of many beverages. A total of five students were identified as having committed numerous thefts from the locked coolers in the café. Benedictine Police electronic surveillance unit was able to provide video tape which identified the five suspects. All the students were issued $150 citations and the matter was referred to residence life for further sanctions. Subsequently, a security gate has been installed at the café which is now locked after business hours.

On March 4 at 1:05 a.m., University Police were called to Anderson Hall for a noise complaint due to a large party. The address was an apartment which had been warned previously in the semester as well as earlier that evening for over-occupancy and hosting parties. For their failure to comply, both residents were given citations for loud music and over-occupancy.

On March 2 at 2:25 a.m., officers were on patrol in Founder’s Woods around Roman Hall when they identified an apartment with loud music. The officers approached the apartment where the door was open. The officers identified the stench of burnt marijuana. Subsequent investigation revealed various items of drug paraphernalia. The student was given a $100 citation and the matter was referred to residence life for further sanctions.

On March 1 at 11:05 p.m., University Police were summoned to a noise complaint at Kucera Hall. An investigation revealed that approximately 20 individuals were in the apartment. Numerous bottles of beer and alcohol were also found. Both resident students were issued citations for hosting a party where underage students were in the presence of alcohol.
