After an amazing winter, spring is finally around the corner. And the one thing students look forward to MOST about this season is SPRING BREAK! It’s a chance to finally get away from all the stress of school and take a mini-vacation. After being worked hard throughout the semester, everyone deserves a nice break. There are countless places people can go and things to do during this one week!
Yes, it’s only seven days, but who says people can’t travel the world in a week? Depending on how far a person wants to travel, there is something to do and a place to visit for everyone!
There are so many popular destinations for spring break! People always talk about going to places such as Cabo, Cancun or even South Beach. These locations all have amazing weather and so many different things to experience and enjoy. When going to a warm place, make sure to hit the beach and either surf or boogey board! For those who prefer to stay on land, there are always numerous excursions to experience, and if one is feeling daring, ziplining is an activity to try!
For the family:
During school, it is hard to spend quality time with the family. Use spring break to relax and enjoy their company at popular family vacationing spots such as Florida or California. Places like Disney World, Disney Land, Sea World and Universal Studios are great attractions for all ages.
Closer to Home:
Places that are within the Illinois perimeter include Wisconsin Dells or even Indiana Dunes. Wisconsin Dells has numerous indoor water park resorts with Kalahari being one of the most popular ones!
For those that want to remain in state, there are plenty of things to do down in the city. People can use this week to re-explore their own city. Chicago has so many nice tourist places that residents can enjoy as well. Places like the Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum, The Art Institute, The Planetarium, Navy Pier and Millennium Park are all places that never disappoint. The city of Chicago is just a beautiful place to be, especially when it is accompanied by beautiful spring-like weather. Shopping on Michigan Avenue and State Street is a vacation in itself!
Other than vacationing, spring break can serve as a break from everything and anything. Students are able to spend their time shopping, eating, sleeping, watching movies and spending time with family and friends. After two months of a stressful semester, spring break could not come at a better time!
