T ‘n’ C Advice

Dear T’n’C,

I’ve been in a relationship for almost three months now, and for the first month and a half, we were going great. Recently, we’ve been experiencing some problems between us and myself as well.  We seem to get in a little fights and sometimes they can last for a few hours or days.  I don’t know if I can handle it anymore to be honest.  I don’t know what to do and I don’t know what I should do.  I haven’t been the same as I used to be for a little while, nor have I been that happy either.  I am starting to get deeper feelings with this person and the more we do have little fights, the more it hurts me to keep going.  I don’t want to give up on our relationship, but at the same time there are no reasons for me to keep trying. Should I stick it out with my significant other or should I just give up on everything?  If I were to stick it out, what should I do to better us? I’ve been trying to do things to make us better, but I don’t know if they are working or not.  Much needed advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely and Thanks,

Hopeless Romantic

Dear Hopeless Romantic,

First of all, communication and honesty is the key to any relationship. Try talking to her about this without getting into a fight. Let her know how you are feeling. If you would like to stay with her and fix things, tell her know how much she means to you and make it known that you would like to work things out. Remember, the first month and a half is like the bliss stage. Then you hit rough patches. If you get through those rough patches, your relationship will grow stronger and you guys will make it. In a few weeks, if things do not change and you have talked to her about how you are feeling, then maybe it is time to take a break. Relationships are not meant to be perfect. You are always going to have ups and downs, but if it’s hurting you more than making you happy, then it’s time to do something about it. Talk to her like you just talked to T’n’C and let her know your stance in the situation. Don’t let others influence your decision. You are the only one who truly knows your sincere feelings deep inside. If you truly care about her, you will know what’s best for the both of you. Good luck! Hope this helped!

Love always,

T’n’C
