On November 13th at 1:35 a.m., University Police were conducting a roadside safety check point in front of Birck Hall. A vehicle was stopped driven by a student. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed an open container of alcohol as well as a quantity of marijuana. Further investigation revealed that the student was wanted on a fugitive warrant from the state of Mississippi for multiple offenses. The student was taken into custody and then handed over to the DuPage County Police for an extradition to Mississippi.
On November 11th at 2:14 a.m., University Police noticed that the spirit rock located at Lake Saint Benedict had been vandalized with spray paint. The paint was still fresh to the touch when officers discovered it. The officers searched various dorms and other areas for some lead for the culprits. However, no one was fined or ticketed for the vandalism.
On November 12th at 11:53 p.m., while conducting a roadside safety check point in front of Birck Hall, a vehicle was stopped. Police discovered that two under aged students had appeared to have consumed alcohol. Officers conducted a field sobriety test on both students and issued them citations for the consumption of alcohol by minors. However, they were not impaired. The students admitted to consuming alcohol earlier in the evening.
