On October 20th at 5:38 p.m., a student reported that while taking a quiz, her instructor asked all students to put all purses and backpacks in the rear of the classroom. At the conclusion of the quiz, she noticed that her Blackberry, approximately worth $400, was stolen from her backpack. Classmates were interviewed, but no one had any information regarding the case.
On October 20th at 10:28 p.m., a student reported that someone had entered her car, which was parked in the Krasa student lot on October 15th through October 20th. The student’s iPod, camera, wallet, ID, credit cards, $270 and a radar detector were stolen. University Police crime scene technicians latent some fingerprints from the vehicle, which will be compared to the offender when identified. The victim was not sure if the car door was locked.
On October 18th at 1:03 a.m., University Police were monitoring security cameras at Jaeger Hall where they observed a male and female student entering and carrying what appeared to be alcohol. A check of the resident’s room revealed underage non-students in the possession of alcohol. One of the non-students was in a highly intoxicated state. The suspect became combative and unruly with the officers. The resident was given a ticked for the delivery of alcohol to minors. Four other non-students were trespassed and cited for the consumption of alcohol. The initial combative non-student was arrested and criminally charged for the consumption of alcohol by a minor.
