Chicago, the windy city, can never be boring! There are so many activities, everyday, free of cost! From indoor activities to outdoor activities, Chicago has it all.
Navy Pier, one of Chicago’s most exquisite tourist spots, has many attractions. It has a Chicago Children’s Museum of its own, which is free on Thursdays from 5-8p.m. Navy Pier has an amazing view of Lake Michigan. Fireworks light up the sky every Saturday at 9pm, until the end of October. This tops off the Navy Pier experience, making your Saturday night in Chicago epic.
Other places to enjoy in Chicago include: the Water Tower for amazing shopping, the Willis Tower Skydeck for an amazing view of the city, and the Shedd Aquarium, which has remarkable exhibits and exotic animals.
My personal favorites are Millennium Park and the Buckingham Fountain. Millennium Park is beautiful, making it a great place to take your family on a nice day. Starting Nov. 18th, Millennium Park will open their ice skating park, which is an exciting winter activity.
For those of you who are willing to spend some money, there are plenty of fun, costly events coming up! Halloween is right around the corner so there are many spooky activities for everyone to enjoy!
Anyone can scream until their heart’s content at local haunted houses, including Psychosis, which should be a mind-blowing experience. Don’t forget Navy Pier’s “Oktober Fest,” which includes haunted houses and other fun events. After all, what’s Halloween without a good scare?
When the leaves stop falling and we say goodbye to Halloween, you need not fret. There are plenty of other ways to enjoy Chicago!
Many of us are agitated with the NBA lockout, but we still have DA’ Bears.
The NFL season has just started and we have many more games to enjoy. Go support the Bears as they strive to make their place in the 2012 Super Bowl! For the ladies, the Arts of Fashion 2011 is right around the corner. The latest fashion trends for winter and spring 2012 will be showcased in this fashion show, which is taking place at Millennium Park. This may be your chance to begin planning your wardrobe for next season.
Another exciting event is The Throne concert starring Kanye West and Jay Z,. You can check out these performers (use stronger verbs!!) on Decr 1st at the United Center. This almost sold out concert should be an incredible experience for Chicago’s younger crowd.
Regardless if you’re with family or with friends, the Chicagoland area has different activities 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
