Police Reports

On October 14th at 12:48 a.m., University Police were patrolling Ondrak Hall and detected the odor of marijuana coming from a room. Upon entry, police saw three underage students in possession of alcohol and a quantity of marijuana. Students were issued drug and alcohol citations. This issue was given to Residence Life for further sanctions.
On October 6th at 9:42 p.m., University Police responded to Ondrak on a report of a theft occurring inside a vehicle. A resident student reported that sometime between 7 and 9 p.m., unknown persons entered his vehicle and took his wallet. The student reported that about $300 in cash was stolen as well as his credit card. There were 7 attempted uses on his credit card totaling $5000, but the student had already notified the credit card company, letting them know that his card had been stolen. University Police are continuing the investigation in an attempt to identify the thief.
On October 8th at 1:45 a.m., University Police were notified that a significant amount of blood was observed at the main entrance of Jaeger Hall. Police followed the blood trail to the lower level of Jaeger where it was determined that an underage female resident admitted to drinking alcohol with a non-student male acquaintance. The male had become upset and had smashed a glass picture frame, severely cutting his hand. The male transported himself to an area hospital for treatment. The acquaintance was trespassed from Benedictine property, and the female student was referred to Residence Life for sanctions.
On October 4th at 6:59 p.m., University Police were patrolling Ondrak Hall and detected the odor of burning marijuana. Investigation identified a student’s room in which two students were in possession of K2, which is prohibited by federal law. Investigation also revealed that the students were in possession of the drug paraphernalia. Both students were cited and referred to Residence Life for further sanctions.
On October 10th at 3:40 a.m., University Police responded to Ondrak Hall on a report of burglary to a room. A resident reported than his Xbox 360 and associated games totaling $600 were taken from his unlocked room. Police are currently reviewing the surveillance tapes from Ondrak, as well as questioning two non-students who were with the resident that night.
